no its not that easy..if you breed a pink and a black con you will get pink babies and black babies...if you are lucky enough you might get a pink with some black markings...witch is not a calico

Really excited but not expecting a lot cause this is there first spawn since I got them from my LFS. Gonna post a vid tomorrow.

Once the eggs hatch, siphon out most of the spawn into a small 20-30g grow out tank........Leave a dozen or so with the pair for them to practice their parental skills...........

I would do that the extra 10g that i have already has a pair of convicts that just spawned 3 days after my calico pair. I think they will be good parents. They havent eaten the fry which is a good sign. I also feed them twice a day and will do a water change every other day when the fry are free swimming.
