African Tiger Fish (ATF)

Clown Loaches
Pruvian Angelfish
I like clown loaches...I have 3 in one of my JD tanks. I also like cory's, I have 3 albinos in the same tank.
A wolf would be nice, but I hear they are aggressive toward tank mates.
I'd like at least one of these: ATF, payara, fahaka
With possible tank mates (I hope) : bichirs, loaches
How about putting an ATF (I think it's called vittatus? non-goliath anyway) with some bichirs?
Or ATF with a fahaka and either bichirs or loaches?

What part of Cali are you in? Some of the fish you mentioned are available in CA. Also as other mentioned there are alot of other fish out there that are legal and pretty cool.

We get a lot of oscars,dempseys and non aggressive types up this way. Very rare to even see a silver aro in any stores around here. Most fish I get are special order. Nothing wrong with ordering fish if you know how to acclimate them. I have a hard time locating rare bichirs here so I ordered fish from TX 2 - 3 times a year.
bichirs are pro. i have a 6-7inch senegal and its the most active fish in my tank. theyre peaceful. i wouldnt put anything to aggressive in with them.
