He said bat ray, but will get way to big for my pond and I think they can be jumpers

Oooh yeah - they get huge. If you want to get some cownose, I know a REPUTABLE place now that has them, they're about ~$350-$400 shipped.

Actually there's a lfs not to far from me that sells them for 299.00. Dont cownose's have to be in groups to do well?

we sell the CA rounds at our lfs for about $30 bout half the size from what youre looking for though
Where is that at? I think I have enough for a while now. I wish I had an underwater video camera so i could film them at feeding time, I have been hand feeding the one that need to put on some weight but all of them swarm my hand looking to suck out the food, really fun though.

I am sure Jabba is right on the cownose. he seems to be really into them so I would trust him but I have seen batrays kept alone with out any problems. I think cownose are prettier looking but those bat rays have a face like a bull dog. So ugly they are cute.

Yeah, batrays are typically seen solo in the wild - cownose, on the other hand, are frequently spotted in schools of THOUSANDS.

The dont bite hard, they seem to suck the food out of your hand. I've read the female Rounds dont have pointed teeth but the males do so maybe if the make bites me it will hurt.
