I have an oscar and a pleco in a 70 gallon tank. I've had them about 4 weeks or so. Three weeks ago, I noticed white poop from the oscar. Treated that wi/ Jungle anti-parasite food (which I think only the pleco will eat) and the Anti-parasite tank buddy stuff from Jungle. Saw some improvement in feeding and activity from the oscar. About a week after that, I noticed red worms, small looked almost like the end of a paintbrush, coming from the anus of the oscar. Searched online, looks like callamanus. I tried continuing wi/ the jungle meds, but I still see worms, and they don't seem to be getting better. Now I'm using the gel tek food, but again, no improvement. (I've also been adding some garlic extract to the tank, but I'm not sure how often or how much of this I should use.) I've ordered some swine dewormer (levamisole hydrochloride). Does anyone have advice on how to use this? I've been told elsewhere that this will fix the problem, but I'm a little worried about it starting other problems!

I have heard of Paracide-D and Praziquantel being effective in callamanus cases. Unfortunately you have already used praziquantel with the Jungle products.

I have never used paracide-d before but I have heard it is harsh stuff.

The gel tek has flubenol in it. I'm on day three with it, but I see no changes. Does it work when it is in food?

The one recommended by Guppy is Flubenol 15. Read further details on the link regarding the differences of Flubenol and Flubenol 15.

I haven't been able to get access to the flubenol 15.

At long last, something (probably the gel tek) is making a difference. I saw the oscar pass some dead worms last night.

I guess it didn't work well enough. I saw healthy worms sticking out of my oscar this am. I treated with the pig dewormer, and the worms fell out of the fish! So far my fish are tolerating the treatment well, eating and etc. Let's hope this is the end of the nematode saga for me!

What are the ingredients and in what porption , in th pig dewormer?
