Can anyone back this up? Does anyone know for sure?

Do you want to risk it?

I've tried Iodine and have had zero results - zero

Iodine helps when new flesh is growing back, however, you have to kill the shell rot in order for that to happen.............

I have used iodine on my frt. I just dabbed it on a paper towel and rubbed the infected area. Cleared up in a day or two, but the shell was no where near as bad as that one.

UPDATE NOW: I HAVE HIM
please read:

So I just got back with the turtle. I'm useing the drip method to put him into the tank. I have new shots now, these were taken 5mins after I got home so he is a bit stressed but I think these pics give a better idea so I can get some help saving this turtle. BTW I just put some algae wafers while I'm doing the drip metod and even after a 1hr car ride he eat the wafers right away so he has an apitite.
SO: tell me about this turtle now and give me some help mfk I want to save to wonderful turtles life. I work at a petstore so I can get just about anything. I need some advice. I have two red sliders I have have this medication to prevent soft shell on them but since this turtle is different is there no point in that? I'm having a really tough time finding some good treatment methods on the web and the book I have doesn't go into to much detail on shell rot. Anyways here are the pics.
BTW the parts that are kinda white that's under water, the pic sorta gives the isllusion that that's part of the shell rot.

COME ON MFK HELP ME SAVE THIS TURTLE!

I love that turtle.

Eric has the right idea guys, acraflavin works pretty well. You just have to find it available. I have concentrated powder form, and I also buy the liquid form on eBay aswell. I'm flattered that someone suggest talking to me, but I'm no doctor. I don't post alot of feedback or response because my methods may not be appropriate, by the book, or are totally different from what others say or do. But what works for me, works for me... And may not work for others.

I'd recommened and anyone can chime in on this if they feel I'm missing something

Keep him warm 80-85f. (I think 83F is perfect)

add aquarium salt to the water (dosage varies, I eyeball it in my treatments)

and treat with acraflavin..(make sure to avoid as much direct contact with it, it's none to cause cancer or some shiz like that)

again this is what I would do.... I'm not saying it's full proof. Oh and avoid stressing the little guy (give him cover)
