Calling all peacock keepers! How many Peacocks in a 120?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
for life???? none.....but to grow out, 10 more. with a good filter and water changes.

Well for filtration I'll be using a Fluval 404 and 405 (already have them and they are already running on other tanks and well seeded with BB) , both loaded to the hilt with bio-max. This is going to be my living room show tank, I'd like at least 2 more, and yes I plan on keeping them for life. My Regal recently passed so I want another of those, and a Ngara Flametail.

I'll have a lot of the smooth round river rocks running along the entire back of the tank stacked maybe 15-18" high (trying to make it look like a rock shelf or drop off)

So there will be lots of hiding places, as well as a great deal of open swimming area.

Please post some pictures once you have it set up, love to see it!

You can put quite a few more in there for life. I have groups of 6 that live in 40 gallon tanks for breeding. You can probably keep around 15 adults in there maybe a few more if you have good filtration.

I would through 1 or 2 empeor 400s to. :) As for stocking, you could keep atleast 15-20 peacocks, no problem. Just maintain it well... Also, dont get all males. You will need a handful of females to. Ration being 1:2 or 1:3 for species..
