So I just went with black gravel since it was already laying around and still wet and most likely harboring at least a little BB. Took some well seeded biomax and put it in my Fluval 405 (after giving it a good cleaning)

Still need to make another rock collecting trip to bring the wall up higher, but so far I'm happy

There's a lot of open swimming space for them!

Right now there may be, but remember these get 5-8 inches. Once they get big they will need space to run from each other at times.

I fully realize that, I've been keeping africans for over 10 years bro once it's all said and done I'll probably only have 7-9 full grown adult males
