a good chance to revive this thread again and post pics of my little red spot sev. can anyone tell if this is male or female from these pics? he/she is about 4-4.5" currently and i got it at about 2.5-3" in April. i can't tell if this would classify as "worming" on the face or not, but its definitely gotten darker since i first brought it home.

at 2.5-3" after a couple weeks in my tank

current pics at 4-4.5", you can see darkened red on face, and blue developing in dorsal and tail fins. male or female?

I often hear about alot of aggression with Severums towards other fish but all of the Sevs i have ever owned were wimps.

My 8-9" male green pictured above was pretty aggressive towards my 4.5" G. Abalios, but the sev always submitted.
