thanks guys. the tank is a 55g. in a few weeks the severums will be the only two in the tank to breed in, as im setting up another 55g and a 125g (with a new severum!!). as far as the tankmates, when the sevs are not breeding everyone gets along ok. the geo. brasiliensis is starting to become an a-hole. the jurupari is very peaceful though. i will be getting rid of the brasiliensis and getting 2 more jurupari or leucosticta for the 125g. leah, check out this place for driftwood http://stores.ebay.com/RockArtSource_W0QQfcdZ2QQfromZR10QQsaselZ107385344QQsofpZ0QQtZkm right now they dont have anything since thanksgiving but my piece is from there and im getting another piece tomorrow from there.

i just took this pic and thought it was ok. green female is pretty close to 20cm TL. i didn't realise how aggressive they can be. she doesn't back down from my 2 oscars or my pike, all bigger than her

sevs are not a turn and run fish they will stand up for themselves. search youtube for severum vs t-bar
