my silver has been very skidish for a while and was wondering how i can fix this hes about 12 inch in a 180 (not his life Tank) my ph is 7.0 and theres no aggression towards him. could it be lighting or hes just small and needs to get bigger to feel more secure
thanks

and i know the fist post will be what is his life tank, so you dont have to ask i have a 96x48x36x
ready to go for when he gets about 22 inch.

How long have you had him? Was it skittish from the start or has it's behavior changed? What are it's current tankmates.

Pictures could help too c wat is making him all ... skittish. Also wat does he do that makes him seem skittish.

Floating water plants plastic or alive would would probably help. More details.

Arowana are skiddish by nature. You won't change that, no matter what you do, but you can examine the situation and possibly make adjustments, which might reduce the skiddishness of the fish. Try to avoid allowing the fish to harm himself during a skiddish episode. Good Luck.

Where is the tank located?
I got skittish aro but he is as calm as weather right before hurricane right now long ago he is 10 inch now.
Do u have kids arround the house u guys make sudden movement is the tank located in high traffic area?
Any tankmates?
The way I tame mine is I spend more time with him a lot with my family in front of the tank and yes we make a lot of noise lol
And also we do not hesitate putting our hands in there and hand feed,
U would be suprised if u do that often u will have calm aro then again might not work on urs but it is on mine

he was in a 55 gallon for a while he was very skidish at first but its normal for him to adjust once he hid he was great but just one day around the 12 inch mark he got skidish like he would dart away from me when i came up to the tank so i thought ok hes ready for the 180 he calmed down a little but still darts away. heres a pic
