Calvus and comps together?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Have not come across some yet. I have not ordered any yet. I found these locally over time. I would like some more. What types did he have. The comps are in my front setup in he show your african full tank shots. The shellies are in the shellie tank. I would like some more though

Love all your tanks!!! Do you have a close up pics of your comps and clavus? I saw a couple in the full tanks but would be nice to see individual pics.

I have

4- shellie comps
2-firefin comps
1-yellow calvus
3- goldhead comps
2 black calvus
1- calvus ink fin

I need white calvus

You're definitely not planning on spawning them, are you :nilly: ...I hope one of those Comps won't kill your shellie one day.

Are they all mature? What are their tankmates?

All comps are in a 135 with fronts, except the shellie comps which at in a 75 gallon shellie tank. Do I spawn them not really. I would like the shellies too. I have groups of almost all of them. Male and females. Just incase. They stay within their own groups all the time.

Hey guys is it normal for comps. to sit on rocks? like literally be sitting down on a rock?
It still swims around, chases other fish and eats, it just seems not as active. Its been in the tank for about 2 weeks now. can it just be that its settled in?

Those comps and calvus are a bit pricey, I payed half that for my F1 Inkfin Calvus, and F1 Firefin Comps, now my WC Yellow Karago Comps were a goooooood bit more.

It probably also depends on where you're at. I know out here for little 1/2" comps I see them for $13. My calvus I got at a LFS at about inch and a half-3 quarters I paid $40.00. Which I thought was expensive but I don't see them here at that size or at many stores, plus I really wanted them so I paid it. So I didn't think his prices were bad, plus you KNOW you are getting quality fish from him.
