Some town
I just got a pretty small (1.5") calvus, and I'm wondering how fast they grow. He's in a tank with bigger (3-4") fish (peakocks, mbuna, haps). Just don't want anything to happen. There is plenty of rocks to hide in however.

Calvus grow REALLY slow. It probably take a calvus 3-5 years to reach full size. Your calvus are probably at the 2-3 year old range. It is hard to say not knowing the specifics of their original environment. But I would say you are looking at a couple more years or so before they are full grown.

Just make sure they have plenty of hiding spaces and they should do fine.

11 years or so.

no algae, generally meaty foods. Snails, bloodworms, mysid, and a good quality flake food. I prefer omega1 but NLS is excellent food as well as many others. And, by the way, they grow slowly, I mean REAL slowly.
