I used Levamisole hydrochloride succesfully for this same issue succesfully. Try and find a source for it and it will work.

I agree that levamisole is the best product for this application the problem i have is finding it. I tried to find it a few months ago when i needed some for my loaches. I called a half dozen suppliers including the one in the link above and they all said all of there suppliers stopped making it and they had sold out. This time i didn't even try to look for it.

I am four days into the treatment and would normaly be doing a water change today. I was wondering what the water change schedule should be during on this? Thanks.

Just add back whatever you remove. I did large water changes daily on my tanks when treating them and just added back whatever I took out.

Update, the lima now has fin rot. I assume its a secondary infection due to the parasite. What would be the best course of action? Thanks

I had issues with camallanus about 3 yrs ago and it was very traumatic for me as it is the hardest to treat fish disease I've dealt with. I always used levamisole, which I bough from an online farm supply company. I've also seen it at feed stores, although haven't checked recently. I used to also buy the medicated flake food from Florida Guppies Plus that contained albendazole, and I've used it to feed to fish in quarantine
