I know you seem to be going mantilla, but it still may be a marbled Motoro. Their paterns vary A LOT. It's freshwater.

you have any evidence of a marble motoro that looks like this one? all the marble motoros i seen is no where close to this species.

just want a firm ID, but it seems to be a mantilla so far.

Def not marble, it is either a hybrid or a mantilla, some people believe mantilla are natural hybrids, I have imported some mantilla directly from brazil and they vary quite a bit but I would agree mantilla or hybrid.

def not a motoro in anyway. Whats the tail shape? hard to see it clearly in the pic and does it have spines on the tail? how many rows of spines if so?
