Ok, after the storm as many have went through, my tank was without electric for 4 days, it got really cold...think that it was brough out the ich. Tank got really cold but everyone survived. Been away for about aweek helping my friends and my clown loaches have a terrible ich outbreak, almost to where they cant swim. It is undoubtedly ich. I am treating the tank, but keep in mind I have clown loaches and corys in my tank and the rest are geo and tetra varieties.

How do I treat? Salt? Im not sure loaches and cories can handle it. What about coppersafe?
Im gonna lose these guys soon and Ive had them for 5 years. Need some help.

Sorry to hear.... Maybe add uv filter?

I got a 36w UV on there. Can I add salt with Clown Loaches and corys. I also have 2 Pim cats.

Yes you can. I usually start with half a dose then add more over a couple of days. 50% wc every 2-3 days and replace salt for amount of water removed.

Cool, doin 50% change now. Gonna add salt afterwards. So, I should only add 30tbsps (1 tbsp for 5 gallons= 30 tbsps for 150g). Tonight Ill start with 15 tbsps, right? Then 30 tbsps tomorrow at this time and bump temp to 86'?

That's exactly what I do. I try to avoid any meds if at all possible. If you don't see less spots after a week, you may have to go the coppersafe route.

Dude, Ive had my loaches for five years. They are 6 to 7". hate to see them n ot make it. One of 'em looks so bad, Iam actually considering euthanizing him. Damn, only have table salt. Gotta wait til tomorrow.

Buddy just brought over some Kordon Rid Ich and swears by it. I am very concerned this may wipe out my loaches if I dont act relatively fast.
