One word of advise would be to get a QT tank for those feeders. I put mine in the QT tank for atleast 2 days and i treat them with quick cure everytime. If there is any signs of disease on them they get flushed. And a plus is keeping my Htat with out food for 2days makes for a good show.

Sorry for your loss big dogg

Crazy...... I woke up to a dead one on Sunday. My second best specimen. Taken out by a ray that I thought might have been a little unhealthy. Boy did that basturd prove me wrong. Crappy part is this is the second time I've lost a payara to a ray..... Hope this can be a lesson to you folks..... IF the ray's disk diameter is bigger than the fish, the fish can be pounced on and unable to escape...... Even the allmighty Armatus then turns into nothing more than the rays chewtoy...... If that friggin ray wasn't so purdy it would be gone..
And then there was four.............. :( :(

How big was that armatus?

Armatus was 6 inches and the ray that took him out was about 9-10 across.
