Camouflaging pvc pipes or flower pots?

This is pvc, torched, bent and a little dremel work. Torch it till it bubbles and get even more texture. Once it is to this stage, paint it and drop it into the tank...pvc sinks.

This image is from a website I can across but I have done this before....just no pictures. I will try to make one and post later.
This is so easy its not even funny. You cannot make mistakes...mistakes make it even more realistic.

Black looks good. It is better for the inside. It even turns different shades of brown as you burn it. The color I like the best is gray. It turns brown and black when burned.
JUST A NOTE:::
THE PVC USED, ESPECIALLY LARGER DIAMETERS, NEEDS TO BE SCHEDULE 80. THE THICKER WALLED PVC WILL LOOK MOST REALISTIC WHEN FORMED AND SCORCHED. SCHEDULE 40 JUST DOESN'T LOOK RIGHT.
