  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i gallon of water is 8 pounds so that 800 pounds on a non concrete floor if u ask me its a acedent waiting to happen. Even a 55 is alot of weight for a non concrete floor put it in a basement thats were i keep mine

I always had a water bed, never had a problem, plus i humped some huge chics in it, house is still standing, just leans a little.

wieight.

You could easily put it up there.. I would only start worrying at 200 at least. I was at my buddies the other day and thats where his was forever!! And his is a 180.

thats what im scared of.. im renting out this place its not even mine to begin w/. :( i wouldnt be able to make braces for it either.so 100g is the biggest i can safely get? i would love 125g.. :)

can i just umm put it in a corner and maybe have the stand a little out and the tank a little in to make it a little stiffer? i dunno if i make sense. but any help would be nice.. or ideas to make this as safe as can be.. most likely imma buy a used unit. so im hoping it doesnt leak :(

thanks

Dude you can get a 125. You shouldn't hasve a problem. If your scared get renters insurance it will cover it... I cannot believe my 25 lb stand holds my 150. and your floor no matter what is defenitley got more support that the stand you set the tank on. :grinyes:

Put it next to the wall that leads to the apt. next door. the floor supports go all the way across in most buildings :)

i wouldnt chance it..i just set up a 130 gallon and it is heavy as hell and im not sure and upper level floor can withstand the weight..but then again i had a king size water bed and nothing ever happened....its a crapshoot

Water may only weigh 8 pounds, but then when you add in the weight of the tank itself, the stand, and the decor, and its closer to 10 pounds a gallon.

man this is tuff... i really want a big tank i will be having a sink in the room w/ a large space about 5-6 feet of space along w/ that sink can i put the tank on there? ill take pics soon :)
