hmm.. mine was very active and ate after 5 mins of putting him in the tank.
i would say, get something with a crazy smell to it.
floating brine shrimp, krill, something that where you open the container, you can smell it. because then the fish smell it in the water and they go nuts.

if your tank is new, try to hold off on water changes, it slows the process of cycling your tank.
if you dont have another tank for them, i would say use prime, or looks for dr tims one and only nitrifying bacteria or bio-spira at your lfs refrigerated section.
do you have substrate? how much current do you have? ocsars naturally live in slow moving, muddy waters, so sand substrate and little current is best.
your oscar is too small (i think) to really eat any kind of feeder unless its a pretty small fish. plus that'll just bring you to hith...

ps. copper is like the ultimate killer in water.

thanks for all the info. my albino ate 6 feeders today. i intended on 3 each but hes a hog! and the red ate pellets! my tank has not toomuch of a current but a bubble wand they love it. for some reason the albino will occationally go lay at the top of the water (fully submerged) not gasping for air either then i go pet him and he swims round the tank and is fine..is he just lazy or tired? or is he sick?
