i think ornate be fine for many many many years in a 75 gal. My 75 is 4 foot by 18 wide. It not often u here of a 18 inch and larger ornate. thats gonna be one old fish

Im gonna say no. I saw a 17"-18"" Ornate with about a good 2.5" of girth in 55g and it had a hard time moving and turning around. I know you said a 75g but that isnt much larger than a 55g. I would agree and say 100g + tank for a full grown Ornate.
+1

5 x 2 min imo

then you can get a bunch more bichirs ne way :)

Reason why you don't hear or see them because most ornate are captive breed or being kept in a small tank such as 75g. My ornate grew to 16" in a year from a small 4". In three years it went to 21". Grew it from a 55g to 210g and now at 375g.

Place an ornate bichir in a 75g and it will likely get pass 16-18". That's what you called a stunted ornare bichir.

i wouldnt go any smaller than a 75 for him. but the red wolf and ornate should be fine together.

4 X 2 120g great min. I have seen and heard of a number over 20".

A 20" ornate is not just long but thick as well, will need width more than 75g has

There's going to be a lot of difference of opinions here. Personally, I wouldn't recommend anything smaller than a 75g. I think that a 120g footprint is better, but a 75g can go for a good long while.

I definitely wouldn't suggest smaller. A non standard, low profile 75 would be fine, turning room could be an issue in a standard if it did get over 18", they're pretty stout bichirs.
