can a grown fh with small kok still grow kok?

my dad bought a grown fh with small kok at a bargain price can head growth pellets still work at his age?

The term head growth pellets is a misnomer, as there are no pellets that will enhance the growth of a fishes nuchal hump beyond what the fish is geneticaly predisposed to.

Can't really change the genetics. Doesn't mean it can't be a great looking fish. You should post a picture.
