Can a IT live peacefully with a ST??

Say that i already have a 3-4 inch Indo Datnoid. And im plannin to buy a 6-7 inch Siamese Datnoid. Will they both live in harmony? Or will they fight?

i have two st's one 11 inch one 13 with a 10 inch it and they are all fine.

If you plan on only keeping the 2 of them, it will be 50/50. If your lucky, the larger fish will establish the alpha position and leave it at that. Unlucky, and the alpha will torment the other fish until death. One popular remedy is add more dats. I had an almost 20 pc dat comm w/ all 5 species ranging from 2" to almost 15" with little to no aggression. The alpha was a big indo.

in other words you can almost count on at least a little aggression. GL to you!

yea they should be find. i have my st with my it and they do great

My two bigger STs is kicking my smaller ITs b-hind. Its a hit or a miss I guess.

When it comes to Dats, more is better so they spread the aggression...so I've heard. I had 6 and I sold 4. The 2 that I have seem to be doing fine, just really shy now.

i never had a problem but i did always have a group of dats... all sizes.... keep places for them to hide and try it...

I keep my 13" ST with a 4"NTT, 4" NGT and a 6" IT with no problems

Worst case scenario, sell the IT. Finding an 6-7'' ST is a lot harder than keeping an 6-7'' ST with an IT...
