i think it also depends on your tank size. i have about 8 dats all in a 150g tank and the only ones that mess with each other from time to time are my 2 4" indos. they chase each other around for a bit but they have so much room to run around that they just get tired after a while. my st is really laxed and my thin bars are very shy. in my opinion, you really won't know until you try. good luck
