I know the answer should be no. and i know they are a schooling fish. And I know that anything is possible. And I know that just because you can keep a fish a certain way, that doesn't mean it should be.
But, what i'm thinking is a single red belly, in a tank, with fake plants and some rocks for cover, and mirrors on one end. I did it before for 4 years straight, but then lost the fish to a giant hole on its forehead. methinks it was water quality, as I overfed like crazy.
So my question is, is it doable? I'm thinking a small school of red eye tetras might provide company? and the occasional snack?
I'm tossing it around. and no i dont want a black piranha - too big. or a diamond, or any of the other non-common varieties.
I was successful for four years once, but I wonder...
Thoughts?
