Education... people its not that hard.

Yep, remember those Punnett squares from HS Biology...albino x homozygous normal will give you 100% het.

I doubt this is the case, but if one parent were a Kahl-strain albino and the other a Sharp-strain albino then the offspring would be 100% heterozygous at both loci known to cause albinism in Boa contrictor.

But yeah, given the number of times this basic mistake is made it's hard to believe this is the case.

and what are the chances of a $50 snake being sired by an extremely rare sharp strain ?

Not sure what it but Gainsville has to be the exotic reptile animal capital.

If its hard to find, someone in Gainsville has a few dozen probably.

I think what he's saying is that anybody selling a snake that was a Sharp x Kahl would have at the very least advertised the offspring as a double het, not to mention advertised it for A LOT more than $50.

And with that I agree, very slim chance the snakes was a Sharp x Kahl.

BTW, keeping with the educational theme of this thread, there is a way two albino snakes can produce heterozygous offspring or even homozygous dominate offspring. For this to happen a germline mutation is required in one or both genders. Very rare but was documented in either cornsnakes or house snakes.

Again, I say zero chance this is the case with the Craigslist snake linked above.
