Can anyone confirm these are kels?

luck's is Not shady at all. Like most people, he can't tell the difference in baby bass.

If it is a true kelberi....look for anal fin spangels and pec fin spangels. At that size you can only look for a golder look then that of a mono and ocell.

did you not see the pics i posted professor? see any anal fin spangling? your wrong about pectoral fin spangling.....its the pelvic fin that should show spangles.

Did I say the pictures you posted are kelberis? Seems like you became a pbass positive ID'er. Haha.....what a joke.

Well its not like he had them sitting in his shop and he IDd them there. He ordered them as kels. Idk. I really hope it is. Cuz I spent 3bills :(

I just did a good examination. The anal and pectoral fins are completely see through so no spangling there (maybe too young) but the pelvic fins have a gold metalic look to them at a certain angle. Not sure if that counts towards anything.

Btw they're only 3" possibly a little smaller. But they're smashing 6-8 rosy reds a day between both of them and I do 20% water change every 3-4 days so they should grow fast. Temp at 84-85*

I never claimed to be, no need to get all defensive about the pelvic fin comment(basic anatomy).

I'm simply trying to explain that Henry is far from reputable. He's been in the Aquarium trade for how long now? Not that difficult to do some research and find out what species you have. Hell you can even post here and get it identified.

Sorry about that...I guess I took it the wrong way. Spell check got me on that one. But yes, the pelvic is the ones that spangels and not the pec.
Lucky's was always good with us back in the days, it was just his pbass are always in question.
