Once a week is usually fine. How much depends on tank size.

oh.. okay.. cuz they both stay in their own 30gal tank.. and yea i read the threads above.. say around 10-30% of water.. ima try and find a thread about good lighting.. cuz the one i have for the female looks a bit dimish.. =/.. the male has nice lights though. thanks for the tip ^_^

yea.. i have no idea who the parents are.. the person i bought it from was new.. -_-.. and didnt know anything about them.. only thing they knew was.. it looked the best out of the ones they had that day..=/.. and he did look the best out of the oens i saw that day.. so pretty much.. i guess i'll just have to play the waiting game ^_^.. but i read for zz's they become fertile after i think it was 5? 6? months.. and females after 3+ inches? pretty interesting.
