If ur going to go with daily I'd say about 20% or so ......im partial to the fluval canisters many different set up options and allows u to clean the mechanical pads without disturbing ur bio media

Only way to really know is to do a water test and then do a water change then do a water test again and then test and see when it goes up to the level where you need to do a water change then do a water change and figure out how much you changed and then do a water test to make sure you have the nitrates down. Then if you changed 15 gallons of water I would do 20-25 gallons of water after that
