Hi Everyone

New here but been a long time lurker! I rescued these guys from someone who gave up on them, very poor water condition and are a little beat up. He didnt know anything about these fish either except hes had them for 6 months. I've been researching and trying to figure out for sure what they are and so far the pic of the last fish I figured to be a type of Vieja but as for the first 3 pics(same fish just different angles and lighting but I got 3 of them) the best I can figure is Texas?! I'm at a loss for exactally what they could be and figured I'd come here to ask the experts :help2:

First fish looks like a convict x Texas

I think you nailed it! After looking that up I really think this is what they are! Thank you so much. Next question would be are 3 ok to have in one tank(300gallon)together and would they or one be ok with a pair of black convicts in my tank already?

They are all hybrids, the first ones do look like convict or HRP x Texas cichlid. The last one almost certainly has some Vieja in the mix.
Good on you for rescuing them! I think a 300g would allow them to all live together with minimal problems. Should be fine with your convicts.

Not sure about the first couple, but from what I can see, the bottom might be V. briedohri. Again...as it grows out it may look more like a mutt, but as of now, the head shape and that small splash of color around the eye and head says Briedohri(ish)
