And for everyone who said he was an indo pacific tarpon, my lfs actually was able to confirm for me that it was. So good job guys. 100 percent correct. And just for an update, now that he is settling in...

Your tarpon looks like it is healing nicely! How does he like the plants in your tank. I got three indo tarpons and emptied out my 150 with the exception of one piece of driftwood to give them maximum swimming space. they seem to enjoy the room.
It seems like the plants really comfort him when he gets a little scared. If another fish scares him, he always swims to the other side of the tank and hides behind some plants for a second, then returns to swimming around the tank.
