aussiemonsters I have caught many with the same colour variation as the one in your first post, but the mouths did not look like that?
Do you really think there could be hybrid tilapia here?

The middle pic in the OP looks like an O. Mossambicus X O. Niloticus Hybrid, the pic in post #9 looks like O. Aureus or O. Aureus X O. Niloticus. Also of note 26" is quite long for any Tilapia species. These fish sound like they have serious aquaculture potential.
