Can anyone plz tell what type of gar Ive got?

Yesterday I’ve purchased a small 5 to 6 inch gar ….the seller don’t know what type it is …. So can anyone help…… thanks in advance

That's an alligator gar

Alligator gars are one of the most largest freshwater species, reaching up to 6 six feet in lenght. I hope you have a GINORMOUS pond for it in the future.

Yep, as AR1 said, that gar will get a good couple of feet long. Also, they are aggressive, especially compared to many gar species, there are plenty of threads around here that prove that. As long as you have the proper tank size (aka pond) for this fish and the proper tankmates, you'll have a very interesting and awesome fish.
