P. palmas polli pics i found on the web. 1st pic from primitivefish.com.

the fatter one is adult, the rest are more or less juvies (typically what they'll look like at lfs). you can see the circle checkerboard-like markings at the rear half of those juvies.

I'm going to have to get one of these pollis from Toyin in the near future. I think Barbie posted somewhere that they were one of the more active bichir species under senegals of course.

I have yet to see any polli palmas at the LFS here in SOCAL. I guess ordering them would be my only option. Thanks for the clarification on the different species. This will help me out how many of each to get when I order.

What is that slender fish below the poly?
 
I've only seen senegalus and ornatus in real life. I wish more places around where I live sold more Polypterus.
I must say that palmas polli does look incredibly striking in pictures.
