I've been unable to find a female for my dovii and i've realised that I don't like keeping one fish in a 260, especially as he is very shy.. He's 14", I'm in the West of Scotland and would be happy for him to go for free to someone who can house him properly. I won't ship so pick up only. Not sure if this is the right place to post this but thought I might get a better response here.

do you have other fish than the dovii?The dovii went on Monday to a good home. I've got a pair of Jack dempseys, a midevil, pair of convicts, pair of kribensis, a flowerhorn, vieja argentea, female jaguar and I think that's about it

With a bird in the aquarium won't guarantee that they will be singing the love songs. This cichid has a very unpredictable nature. They might they might not. Add some other fish fast swimmer and some hiding places and see the true colors of this fish.
As the gentlemen above said some plecos and may be an oxydora add these and then see who gets twist in the knickers
