Well Idk know if it made a difference but the pinks that I had all came from a back of marble convicts. I got all the ones with no black because at the time I didn't like the marble look
***60 gallon with 1 Flowerhorn, 10 Mollies and 1 Musk Turtle, 4 Angelfish temporarily with my mom***
any idea abut how to get one through "line breeding" and crossing..pink /black...F1 doesn't show up the slightest patters for me for sure...any idea of a shortest route to get one?
I have researched this and have talked to several breeders and have come to this...
Breed a pink convict with black fleckling [normally on top fin]..
Breed with a black convict...
Take the fry and breed back to the pink with black fleckling .
Take the fry from the second batch and breed to the fry of the first batch...
And you should end up 60-40 marbled.
I am in the process of line breeding a marble version with alot of red/orange.
However i couldn't find any Pink cons with the black fleckling so i have to start from scratch with a pink con to a black con...
i got a strain that i like and dont have a male for pollen is there a way to convert a clone to male without messing up the genetics. would gibberalic acid do this?
i don't get the chemistry part lolz.. but with black flecking comments and the flow chart very much thanx.. but please do me a favor posting a pic..of the pink with black fleckling u r suggesting...i have never found any either...but i have similar males (as with the link below) from an hrp x pink convict...which have a greenish black body color...and which fades sometimes....and looks pale...but the males are like this,, out of the hrp(male)x pink (female)......,, female of the cross looks great with some dominant coloration...https://www.google.com/search?q=pin...3Fnomobile%3D1%26f%3D13%26t%3D240631;1024;768
from the hrps,, it takes some iridiscent green blotches too under the mouth...can these type crosses bring out the black fleckling stuff???in further generations with pink / black...con.. so that the green , pink and black blotches all gets in the strain....and i hope u manage to get a similar flowchart on this...if u find the hrp x con..potent enough ..to make this stuff..
