im glad u chimed in, i think people would of still bought slate tiles even after my disclaimer.

unfortunetly, alot of people are like this. you tell them something wont work out because of X, Y and Z. then in a few months they complain that X Y and Z are all happening just like you told them it would, yet its somehow STILL your fault they dident listen

thankfully the OP isnt hard-headed and is going to take our advice into account.

Absolutely taken in to account. In fact ill be posting picks by next friday of a tiled tank. (This all started when a fellow bichir owner lost a prize ornate to swallowing gravel) So I took that in to account and decided to take out the gravel. I learn a lot and take any qualified advice from this site that I can. :headbang2:headbang2 Rock on MFKers

Its at the top of my list. I took my dogs for a walk and the guy that did my neighbors tile was in his front yard. He is very excited about cutting me some tile.

Hi, I have a 4x2x2" tank with a super red aro. My tank set up is black background and black bare bottom with 2 pieces of driftwoods. Been thinking about putting tiles to enhance the bottom but havent got enough facts to which type of tiles is safe and suitable for my aro. Can you guys help me out? Slate tiles are no good? no presealed tiles? glazed ceramic tiles, granite or 100% natural stone w/o presealed are good?
