If you have just 1 or 2 dats and 1+ armatus I don't see you having any problems.
Pbass with armatus is fine. Pbass with dats is fine.

That's what I thought too..... NTT vs Armatus landed my Armatus in the freezer. Dat joined him less then a week later. Not worth it in my opinion, but then again I don't make a lot of money so loosing an Armatus and a big NTT is a catastrophic loss to me.

There may be plenty of success stories but there's also plenty of failures as well.

I am still unaware of anyone having LONG term success. It's hard enough to keep Armatus when they aren't with aggressive tank mates.

i'll tell you this...
ive heard many stories of dats picking out armatus eyes, ive never tried of course since dats grow so slow.
when i introduced my armatus into the cichla tank,he was picked on a lot and barely ate.
he is much smaller than them by weight.
now ive separated him and hes eating much more aggressively.
good luck,im going to throw him in with the pbass only when hes a few inches bigger.

I have a 4 inch AT with a 6 inch tat without any problems.

cool beans guys....i think if i get an armatus he'll go w/ smaller orino's and my ngt.....we'll see what happens as far as purchuses/shipments go.....still waitn on an order of thinbars.

It's a case by case basis. Some combos work out and other identical ones don't
