3'' killing a 2 ft pleco !?! woooooooooow O.O

thanks guys, i went to the flowerhorn store where i bought my first flowerhorn shown on my profile picture, and there were no more regular red dragons, all they had was a bunch of short bodied/round body red dragon flowerhorns, i picked one up, very small. I asked them how big does it grow, they said same as regular flowerhorns, except that it has shorter body and much longer fins.

I am not 10% sure that it depends on your fishes personality. I have a KK with other fish, he doesnt bother them until hes ready to breed.

theres a fish store in up in rosemead ca that has a 400 gal tank with more thna 20+ full grown flowerhorns, and datnoids, and gouramis, and... i forgets but i see fish in there that are small enough to fit in the other fhs mouth but they all do fine, like that tank is sooooo overstocked

Hope Im not cursing myself but... I have a male FH in my 150g community tank. He is about 6" in length and doesn't run the roost. Almost all of my fish are close to the same size but my Frontosa is a beast. Hes easily 10" and none of the fish even give him a second glance. Anyway, so far so good and its been at least 2 months now.

Hi everyone, I'm new here. I actually have a beautiful 8" super red dragon male in my 120gal. He shares the tank with a 6" female jaguar, a 7" female Quetzal, a 3" Nic, a 4" female festae, and a 1.5" cuban and does just fine. All the females want to try to mate with him though.

what ever you do, do not put gromies and flowerhorns together, learned my lesson when i saw that little gruomie get his @$$ kicked hard

i got my new flowerhorn when it was less than 1" long, now it grew a lil bigger and eat like a beast. My Midas devil can eat 20 grandsumo pellets and 4 krills in about seconds, and its 3.5", it does not chase any fish in the tank.
