It's never easy to put a beloved fish (or dog, or cat) down... but it needs to be done in this case.

I'm on my iPad in bed, but I can't put him down now, how do you suggest I do it grinch, I'd do as soon as possible tommorow

Clove oil is probably best for typical hobbyist. putting the fish in the freezer in a small container of water is pretty humane, especially for cold water fish. a sudden trauma like hitting the floor hard/fast or beheading with a knife are also effective and fast enough that pain is short.

I read that if you stab them they are still alive for seven seconds, ill probably use clove oil, sadly I can't get it until my parents get home from work

I freezer him at around four o clock, he is asleep or has passed right now, thank you for your support

Hello; In a situation which has no good parts these are decent options. Gets it over with.

Hello; Interesting, the fish has been in some level of agony for an additional day and you are concerned over seven seconds. Had you done something yesterday the suffering would be over and done.
I gather you are young but I was young when I started and the concept of timely mercy was easy to understand.
May I suggest some additional thought about this hobby. This issue is very likely to come again sometime. Maybe another hobby without live animals is worth considering.

.....and hopefully you have addressed whatever might have caused the issue in the first place for the sake of any other fish you have or may be getting in the future.

I understand that the op is young and is making questionable decisions. but are these comments helpful? you both have the maturity and depth of knowledge to help the op in a more meaningful way.

I thought I was being straightforward and meaningful and not harsh in my post. There was a lesson to be learned in the op's situation.....
