By the way, I wonder what is the largest Silver Arowana ever caught in the wild?
Another interesting more general question is which actually get bigger, wild fish or captive fish -- or does it vary by species? I recently watched a video about a guy who did a lot of diving in Lake Malawi -- his observation was that he was surprised how much smaller most African Cichlids are in the wild compared to the ones we grow out in our tanks -- but makes sense maybe given how much we feed our fish compared to how often they actually eat in the wild.
Again I'm not sure if this growth dynamic is true with all fish species, others might grow less (or worse have spinal problems like we see on some Aros) due to not enough swimming space or other reasons.
