Can I add any puffer as a tankmate?

Here is my tanking:

1 4-5 inch clown knife
3 3 inch bala sharks
1 2.5 inch gold severum
1 3 inch bichir

I am trying to get some variety of fish in my tank. I would like to add a puffer to my tanking. Is there any species that will work long term?

The clown knife is my baby. If anything will attack it, it can stay in the store. The CK stays. The bichir can go if it has to.

So it is taking a chance then? 55 gallon grow out. 150 later, but may be getting a larger tank.

most fW puffers are quite nasty, and if you want something big enough to hang with a clown knife your looking at a mbu puffer. puffers easily kill with one bite, and usually they do bite. 150 is gonna be way to small too house a large puffer with tankmates, as well as way too small for a clown knife.

150 is not too small for a ck. They rarely reach or exceed 24 inches in captivity.

That said, I may be able to get a larger tank. Lets say I get a tank large enough for a large freshwater puffer. You're saying the mbu puffer would most likely kill my clown knife, severum and bala sharks?
