How freaking cool are barbs? They are the swiss army knife of the fish world. Big, small, cold water, hot water, boisterous, active, inquisitive.
I dunno, i just feel like giving some love to barbs.

I use Tiger Barbs......As target fish.....I had a shoal of 9 pygos in a 180......I bought 3 dozen tb's to make them feel "more comfortable...."

My favorite Barb: The Filament Barb (Dawkinsia Filmentosa). I have a school of 12 that looks incredible and that provides so much action in the tank! They are a great slightly larger Barb that displays incredible colors, especially when breeding.

Rafini mentioned to me to create a school of 25+ tinfoil barbs. I currently have 6 in my 250 gallon. I would love to have that much number when I head back home and build a tank of 1000-2000 gallons. Imagine how cool would that be!

Tiger Barbs are always my favorite go-to schooling fish. I actually have had a school of Tiger Barbs and Rosy Barbs living together peacefully for the past year in my turtle tank with a Red Ear Slider, Map, Musk, Soft Shell and Snapper. All the turtles are less than 5 inches, but I still expected them to off the Barbs once they got tired of them. And I think there is something about living with turtles that makes them grow larger because my Tiger Barbs are the largest I have ever seen!
