Can I borrow your imaginations?

Ich only takes around 10 days to cure with salt & heat. Assumning you cure it, you should be fine.

What kind of filter are you running? Best bet for a fast cycle is to take some of the bio filter media out and put it in the filter of the new tank. Lookup "fishless cycle" too. Just takes ammonia, and doesn't harm or kill any fish. Also, Ich supposedly can't survive without fish present. So if you are doing a bio-jumpstarted fishless cycle at 85 degrees for 2 weeks you can pretty much guarantee that tank is ich free.

Oh ok. Thanks a lot!

Ive tried to do the fishless cycling and it worked with my saltwater tank, but seeing as its a more expensive fish, I would probably want to take it slow.

So when I set the tank up then could I take some media from my filter on the 125 and seed it in the new filter? And then put some hardy fish in there?

Nah, you can still do the fishless cycle with ammonia. Its the same thing as cycling with fish, just no fish hurt. Moving some of the filter media just cuts a little bit off of the overall cycle time. You could also do it with some hardy fish if ya want, the morality police aren't going to come knocking on your door or anything. I'd guess most of the people in the hobby still do it that way.

End goal is 0 Ammonia, 0 Nitrite, +Nitrate. Whatever method gets you there should be good. Once you get there, you can start adding fish, but do it slowly to give the bio time to adust to the increased load.

Hah, ok. Thanks for your help.
I will be updating this.
