I'm pretty sure you can't. One reason being that you are only allowed to bring a certain amount of liquid onto the plane, I think it is only like 3 oz and I believe it has to be unopened.

yeah you can only have 3 oz of liquid and it has to be in its original container. There is no way you will get through with a bag full of water, you might be able to check a box with the fish in it. But then who knows what the temp would be like in the belly of the plane. Especially on a 17 hours flight...

Forget the liquid, I would think that they would realize it's not an explosive based on the fact that there would be a live fish in it. Liquid explosives are what they are trying to eliminate with this restriction.

Your real problem would be US customs. There is no way they would let you bring a fish into this country from another region without having proper permits and such.

All you need to do is call the airlines. They can tell you for sure.. most of us here are just guessing. You can contact us customs as well, and I think as long as you can id the fish and they are not illeagal to bring into your area you are ok.

ah.. well thanks i guess in going to contact my airline. but yea i mean lmao if they complain that you can only bring 3oz on a plane and theres a living fish in it and they tell me sorry but no ill be like you dumb****'s theres a living animal in it how the hell can it esplode!

securities security. Usually stuff like this has to go in cargo. Contact and see, but if you can get it through London customs, I dunno about US though.

He shouldn't have to go through customs in London, unless he's leaving the terminal. If it's just for a layover, he won't go through customs.
