can i catch bullheads in a minnow trap

if so what kind of bait. i have a lake house on hopatcong and i mainly catch them on hot dogs. should i keep to what there used to or something else.

haha, just throw some chicken liver out around 4-6 pm and wait till about 11pm-3am, i do this everytine im at my grandmas lake houses at fish lake IN. and i would catch quite a few with just a normal hand net, if there close enough to the dock,shore.

chicken liver is catfish cocain in Indiana, not sure about anywhere.

buy some crab traps online. the rectangular ones have 6-8" holes and I see catifsh in them aaaaaallllll the time when i go to florida. U can use chicken liver(dirt cheap) any kinda cheap meat or turkey gizards, balled up bread and peanut butter. U can make some pretty rancid stuff like Ive mixed my frozen bloodworms with cheese, shrimp, peanut butter, etc. Ive seen something on youtube like u use sugar, flour cornstarch, and red koolaid and boil it into little balls . idk i heard it works great. youtube homemade catfish bait.

For bait, leave some shrimp or liver out all day to spoil and then put it in the trap. Works good for monster catfish around here. Really stinks.

Picked up this 9 pounder (channel cat) with some spoiled shrimp (amongst many smaller cats we caught).
