Thanks, yeh the Severum tank is a good idea, Sevs are my fave fish, not to fussed about pairs, i just have so many because i can't get enough of them.

Could the Reg. JD stay with the Sevs?

you could try depends on the temperament of the fish.

IMO, uaru would look nice with the severums if you can find them. I would also definitely leave the jag out of the 180. I would also pass on the texas but I think you would have a decent shot of keeping the gold saum with the severums unless you decide to go with a uaru/severum tank, which I think would look very nice. If that's the route you choose to take then I personally would also add a very large school of one of the larger sized tetras. Someone on here had a video of a large tank with a huge school of lemon tetras with larger cichlids (I believe geophagus) that looked amazing.

Another option that I think would work out well with the severums would be a synspilum or 2. These are typically less aggressive than the other Paratheraps/Viejas and can be amazing if you get high quality fish from someone like Rapps or Ken Davis (I know there are others but these are the 2 that always come to mind for me first). :)

Hey, yeh Uarus are common around here, i have been thinking about keeping them for a few years now but never got round to it.

I found my Jag dead yesterday, i suspect it was my large Male Rotkeil that did it, he has been the aggressor of the tank for a while now (he is 4.5" and bullys everything including my 6.5" Texas)

SO that kinda changes up my stockign quite a bit, i wont be gettign another Jag so i may just go with the original stocking idea but without a Jag.

Far as the first tank goes, it sounds like it would be worth trying to me now that the jag is gone. I think you will have enough space with that mix. I would watch your texas down the road. Sometimes they can get nasty. My guess is he will be the one to end up running the tank down the road. Good luck. Post some pics when ya can.

Yeh will do :) the delivery of the tank has been postponed now because of the heavy snow here in England, so once i have it up and running i will take pics of both Set ups :)
