Can i do this witha hob

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That will work:) Any porous ceramic media will do the trick nicely.

I'm gona go pick up 10 thins of bio max than because i have alota filters im redoing, I wont be keeping fish for about 5 months... Down to 2 peacock bass(small ones) and the jur looks like hes gona kick the bucket... So some of my fish are gona be up for sale

What's going on in your tanks bro?

No clue, These were the fisht that were in my 10 gallon and started dieing off, so i moved them into my 120gallon ( divided ) and another peacock just hit the bucket...

Current fish alive :
2 silver arowanas
2 widebar dats
1 clown knife
2 7" osc
4 2" clown loaches
1 red oscar
1 lima catfish
2 royal plecos
1 bichir

Now the fish im worried about dieing :
2 1-2" osc Pbass (ornio osc w/e dont know yet.)
1 4" jur...

I think i'm gona go out of the hobby if these last fish die untill I have everything in my room and setup how i want. Than I will buy only the fish I really want.

Only fish i might not sell are the widebars but i really think im gona have to. Will know probably by tomorrow.

some of these fish are outside some arent. sorry for the confusion

Dont know wtf happend everything in my tank was fine untill i added the 2 catfish i ordered than everything went to hell,

Heres a pic of the jur thats about to r.i.p any second it looks like. Hes lost 1 front barb w/e u wana call it and this one is about to fall off.

why do you guys think pot scrubbies dont work as well submerged as it does in a wetdry? has the same surface area and looks like it covers more surface area then the regular lil sponge it comes with. all my filters have scrubbes for media rather then the lil sponge it comes with. did i mess up by doing so? my fish all seem fine.

They work well in a wet/dry application just like bioballs do. They have less surface area so they wont plug up easily, but they make up for that with the large quantitys that you can use. When they are submerged there is less oxygen available, so there is less growth. The ceramic media has a TON of surface area due to the porous surface, so there is more area for it to grow on. if I could fill a wet/dry with ceramic media I would, but it's too expensive lol...

(besides that, it would plug up)

Rally my jur is trying to eat my plecos lmao!!!!!
not really hit just looks like it, hes swimming around with them. Still wont eat though ( i expected it after just recovering some he should eat)

also is this a good setup for a hob? the sponge it comes with, filter floss than as much bio max as i can put in it?
