I just went to a buffet and thought of my lil Jardini while I was there. I took home a few pieces of raw Sashimi (from a sushi bar). I believe it's snapper Sashimi if that helps. Is it OK to feed my Jardini this?

I don't see any problem with it. Even fish should enjoy some fine dinning :D

Great thanks for the tip, he loved it and devoured it faster than any food I've seen. He's been snobbish about eating pellets, so I hid one inside a piece of Sashimi. Hopefully he'll acquire the taste =).

Does anyone just buy raw fish from the market that they freeze? This sounds a lot cheaper than buying feeder fish, and healthier since the fish don't carry the same diseases as the feeder's.

Yup...used to buy Tilapia fillets and cut them up and froze them. Same with shrimp.

i see no reason not to, but as long as it's not soaked in any thing, you'll be fine.

Hmm does anyone have anything bad to say about buying your Arowana fresh fish that's uncooked? I imagine a $10 fish that stays frozen where you chop off a small piece twice daily would be pretty healthy, mixed in with some pellets. Does this sound like a good alternative to live feeder fish? For some reason, I've never seen a topic based on buying frozen fish for your Aro.

i feed mine raw shrimp."Fish it's whats for dinner" just make sure you wash the fish from salt before feeding the arow.
