Im looking for a pleco that I can house in a 60gl for life with a gold saum green terror. Any ideas on a species?

What kind of decor/hiding spots are there in the tank for the pleco? How aggressive is the green terror so far towards tank mates?

bushynose pleco

Right now there is only gravel and no fish. I plan to put 1 pc of driftwood with java moss and an anubia growing on it.
The GT comes in on Monday.
I just bought the tank and Im going to use 30gls of water from my 150's water change to get the tank going like if it is a 50% water change.
The pleco is not going in until about 2-3 months or if I get something that I cant pass up, then he will go in the 150 for a little while.

A big Bristlenose would be OK, but I would look for a Goldspot L001. They get a bit bigger, 12" max, but should still be OK in that size tank. They dont grow as big as the comon or gibby plecos.

They have a bit more 'attitude' and can take care of themselves with all but the most agressive tankmates.

Cheers

Wont really help much.

You need some cycled filter media in there. Swap a bit of the media from your established filter with the new filter.

Do this when you add the first fish and it will help jumpstart the new tank/filter's cycle.

My tank is 3 ft long. Is an adult goldspot still O.K in a small space like that?

The media is already broken in. The tank was used and had the media with a flowerhorn. So the media already has its bacteria. Thanks for the heads :)

Unless that media has a source of ammonia that is constant, it will be dead in less than 48 hours.

Sweet... just making sure ;)

Well my bigger goldspot is 3 years old and only about 8" long, it might reach 12" eventually. Or it might only reach 10"

I'm assuming its a big 3' tank. It's going to take quite a while to outgrow it.
