What do you all think about flowerhorns

My name is george form Sydney, and i just had a Trimac and red devil deliver a spawn, wondering if i should cull them or grow them

use them as feeder fish; fhs are extremely cheap/common and have a tendency toc ompletely ruin fish identification when sold to stores.

Even if you decide to cull them out or use them as feeders, I think you should get some of the fry and let them grow, so you can see how they look like when full-grown. Maybe they become beautiful and valuable fish to responsible fish keepers. Just make sure anyone who gets them really knows they're hybrids. My 2 cents.

Best regards.

Daniel.

Those will not be flowerhorns just a hybrid. I would like to see what they would look like if I was you. Use the ones you don't want to keep for feeders.

I just don't care for them but some people love them, if you have room grow out the best, feeder the rest.

Flowerhorns ARE hybrids and mixed with anything there is under the moon to produce a color strain or a specific look.

I agree you should keep a few and grow them out to see what they look like, who knows maybe they will look really neat.

yeah agree with the rest. why not keep some and see how they turn out when they grow up.

anyway don't know why but flowerhorn was never one of my fav fish. :)

I met a guy this weekend who sold his flowerhorn for 1000 dollars on aquabid.com

That must be some power flowerhorn. Flowerhorn prices have droped quite a fair bit in Singapore due to loosing intrest in them but I don't know about other countries.
